Our mission is to offer consumers conscious product choices and to be transparent about all our curated selections.

I founded Simple As Is after working for more than 10 years in both the fast fashion and luxury fashion industries.

I felt it was becoming increasingly difficult for people to feel good about their purchases anymore because of the massive impact the industry has on the planet.

And I wanted to create a solution to that.

In creating the site, we came across an incredible community of like-minded creatives. The experience showed us that there is a better way forward for this industry, one that elevates the natural environment rather than exploiting it.

Making simple 'choices', and continuously seeking out better options are the essentials of today’s world.

I believe that the current state of the world is basically a design issue. In this regard, William McDonough and Michael Braungart's book 'The Upcycle' is very inspiring.

“Human beings don’t have a pollution problem; they have a design problem. If humans were to devise products, tools, furniture, homes, factories, and cities more intelligently from the start, they wouldn’t even need to think in terms of waste, or contamination, or scarcity. Good design would allow for abundance, endless reuse, and pleasure.”
